The four suits in a pack of typical Italian cards (medieval “coins, cups, swords and sticks”): the “Federician” are the new playing cards of Puglia. The name is a tribute to Federico II of Svevia, the emperor who made glorious the lands of South Italy. It is no coincidence, every graphic detail is inspired by the late Middle Ages: the illustrations are reminiscent of Romanesque style of icons and effigies, made by scribes; the characters depicted seem to Knights and ladies of the Imperial Court in the 13th century. Collector’s product, the “Federician” collection is an ideal gift for anyone who loves the classic board games, like “briscola, scopa, cinque, tresette, stoppa”, but also “settemezzo , morto-cucù ” and many others Italian playing card.
